BigSal (view profile) | Posted 1:58 pm, 09/02/2024 | "Stocks are owned by everybody," Trump said during Tuesday's town hall on ABC. "Look, we're having a tremendous thing in the stock market, and that's good for everybody, but people that aren't rich own stock and they have 401(k)'s." Guess he was lying, the Truth Police will surely berate him for this gross exaggeration.

No one could consider me rich by any stretch of the imagination and yet I have a Roth IRA with mutual funds that invest in many different things. I also have some straight up Caterpillar stock in that IRA. I also just inherited my dads traditional IRA that I will use to buy more Cat stock

President Clinton's tenure was characterized financial deregulation, which in many ways set the stage for the excesses of recent years. Among his biggest strokes of free-wheeling capitalism was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, a cornerstone of Depression-era regulation. He also signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which exempted credit-default swaps from regulation. In 1995 Clinton loosened housing rules by rewriting the Community Reinvestment Act, which put added pressure on banks to lend in low-income neighborhoods.

Troll King, most Americans don't own stocks. Especially the lower income, the ones Biden/Harris have really devastated.

Sal, don't try telling Fauxnerd and other MAGAts the real story, they love blaming everything on the Black man and Biden. And they will die on that hill defending their tangerine tyrant and his predecessors starting with Ray-gun and his trickle down economics and the subsequent reigns of King George I and II.

The housing bubble began in 2007, before Obama was president.
Seems to a pattern here.

With the increased house payments because of Bidenomic interest rates, property tax increase, less money to spend because of high prices on groceries, fuel, and electricity. You have the perfect recipe for foreclosure and bankruptcy. It is called Socialism or Democrat policy. Another OBAMA Housing Bubble , remember? Same with Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton

Wait till you get the inflation tax rate . Your house isn't worth more, your money is worth less. Those on a fixed income can blame Bidenomics.

Give them a minute and they will be blaming Biden when in fact it is the residents who voted in the commissioners with the majority having a (R) beside their names.
