We already knew that Wilkes was corrupt and Animal Fighters were linked to that corruption. It was put in the publics eye who donated to Stoney and other elected officials campaigns.
Does anyone have the campaign donation reports for other elected officials or people have have ran locally like Sheriff, Clerk of Court, Judges, and Prosecutor ?
I think it would be interesting to see if any of the same people who donated to Stoney have donated to them in the past that are linked to animal fighting.
From what i have read here on GoWilkes it appears a known animal fighter donated to Stoney Greene, Eddie Settle, Virginia Foxx, and Randall Holbrook.

I blame local law enforcement along with local politicians receiving money from these people to turn a blind eye. This is going on in plain view.
This has the smell of corruption all over it.

There is times when immunity must be in place. I agree there is a possibility immunity doctrines have been used to harm the American people in some instances. That is a very tough issue we are facing today.
What crosses the line? Recently the court has allowed a lawsuit to proceed against a Greensboro police officer who shot and killed a man while on duty. The court however did not allow the lawsuit to proceed against the city.
Also in general immunity does protect from civil liability, but typically not from criminal liability.

| Thomas Hobbes, you are correct. You don't hire Jay Vannoy for a criminal trespassing and assault on a female defense. When the heat started coming down on him there were three major dog fighting busts within two months, and now this. He had to hire Jay for a big defense,work a plea deal, and negotiate with the Feds. Stoney has always rolled over when the heat gets on him, ALWAYS!!!!!!

Influence leads to votes as you can see from the video local animal fighters use money to influence politics at the State level. I think all government today is a cesspool of corruption. If these people can influence the general assembly do you not think they are influencing local law enforcement and the local courts?
If you wish to see Wilkes County cleaned up i suggest a reset which will take time through elections.
We need a new sheriff, county board, clerk of court, district attorney, and many of the current government employees need to be fired.
Besides the FBI coming in and cleaning house this is the only other way.
If you don't like the current situation in Wilkes then do not vote the same people back in. If you vote for the same people again you are supporting this type of behavior.
As far as news, if you believe local news is corrupt stop buying their ads. Stop reading their content and they will come around or go under.

I would bet they are looking the other way because of one reason. And you could guess on that one. It is ridiculous that we had an sorry ex commissioner that has stuck us with a $32M building that was not needed for the ones that are going to use it, and then on his own time he was killing animals. He also was involved with some of the people listed on here as ****fighters.
We got rid of his sorry a** and we need to work on getting rid of these other criminals. Wilkes County is better than this.
Where are the investigations? Where are the raids?
