If you think Wilkes is bad you should check out Roanoke Rapids the amount of unemployed black men was surprising. The company I worked for was hiring anyone with a heart beat that could pass a drug test. In the end they had to bring people in from out of town because the locals either didn't want to work or couldn't pass a drug test.
