People are put in charge based on gender, race, and who they sleep with.The core mission of the secret service is protected their person. It is not handed over to any local agency. Secret Service will come in at least a week before. They will do multi sweeps, going over the route and check bridges, culverts, waterways, and potential sniper areas. Anybody that has made threats could be questioned or even locked up until after the event. Local law enforcement is used primarily for traffic, cars and pedestrians. What happened was bad enough but what the director has said afterwards should have got her fired. Now the agents guarding Trump should have been irate because they could have been easily killed. But they should have never stood Trump up, should have rolled him off the back of the stage. How did they know there wasn't a second shooter?
