I can remember when Lowe's steel use to take cars I hauled many down there don't know if they still do.

Im sure the guy cant drive it. Taking it anywhere would be out of the question. 21 motors is just down the road from Elkin. They would come an get it.

I don't know what tomfool's problem is but he's the liar. I had a 2010 Buick Rendezvous that I wanted to get rid of. I called junkyards in four counties and was told by all of them they would charge a fee take it off my hands. Two of them told me that they had no interest in my vehicle because of the model and age. The radio station WFDD took it for free and I was able to claim a $500.00 tax deductible. Just why in the hull would I lie about something like that? I was just trying to help someone out.

There are people in the classifieds that'll haul them off for you. They pay about $250 for a car, maybe a little more for larger vehicles.

Unless your car is not of a certain make, model or not over a certain age you might find that you have to pay to have it towed and scrapped. There are some charity and PBS organizations that will take it off your hands for free, some will even give you a small fee. If you go that route, you can claim it as a tax deduction.
