OK... and in that post I had not said anything about Joe. Or the economy. Or anything like that. I just said that changing the name didn't seem to hurt them financially at all... in fact, their value has doubled since the name change.
Then Fakey tried to make it about Biden at 9:16.

Anti, I was referring to your post @ 12.58 am where you said 'good decision, you can see their value skyrocketed" which it didnt have a thing to do with uncle Joe as you claimed. They were bought by a group of investors. It didnt have nothing to do with Fakey. Nor did it have anything to do with changing their name. That is what the investors were willing to pay. They bought the redskins from one Dan Synder the sole owner at the time.

Anti needs to stick with something she is famaliar with. To suggest that the name had something to do with the value of the team is ludicrous. The team was sold to a group of investors in 2023 I believe for over 6 billion dollars. NFL football teams a worth billions with the cowboys being at the top . They are worth north of 9 billion. So no, Joe an TOe had nothing to do with the price of the redskins. BTW I have been helping out in the Morganton area on the relief effort.

Sure... a strong and stable economy with low unemployment has helped to almost double the value of an NFL team. Considering that NFL isn't a necessity, that seems to imply that more people and companies are willing to spend more money on non-necessities.
Thanks, Uncle Joe!
By the numbers... it looks like the value in 2016 was $2.95 billion, and by 2020 it was $3.5 billion. That's an increase of 18.64%. Inflation during that time was 7.8%, so 2.4 times inflation.
Now, in 2024 it's worth $6.3 billion. That's an increase of 80%. Inflation during that time was 21.6%, so 3.7 times inflation.
Which is greater... 2.4 or 3.7?

I figured it out...
As expected, it has nothing to do with being "woke." Or with white people. The team changed its name because "in March of 2020, UC Burkeley revealed a study that found that more than half of its 1,000 Native American respondents were offended by the team name."
They changed their name to the "Commanders," and obviously a picture of a Native American chief no longer worked.
Financially, this was a good decision. You can see that their value skyrocketed in 2021 after they changed the name, almost doubling since then...
