Thanks, Foxy, but all I'm doing is quoting the experts. The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget is the one that did the research and determined that Trump's plan would make SSA insolvent within 6 years.

Which isn't a surprise, really. You'll remember that his own staff was "astounded at Trump's lack of basic understanding" of the economy... especially when Trump wanted to print more money to pay off the national debt...

Oh how great it would be , just if all Democrats could be as smart as Anti. Jimmy is the only one that has realized it yet but hopefully you will all see how smart she is. BUT, when the election is over and Anti slips on that Independent mask you will be disappointed .

So y'all,

Learn facts and gain knowledge from Anti's contributions, or remain a mouthy Trump cult troll, looking like a fool before you sneak away.

Inflation is a tax on all of us. And who caused it? Harris and Biden.

That's a flat out lie, and you know it. The hyper inflation was a direct result of Trump's failure to act during COVID. Biden's policies, however, helped the US to recover faster than any other first world nation.

There is nothing that can be done by a president on social security without Congress approval.

Not exactly. The President can sign executive orders, like this one...

The President also writes the next year's budget and determines how much discretionary funding is provided for SSA. They also control the tax code and how that funding will be paid for.

But Congress does vote to approve the budget, which is why it's important this year for Democrats to control both the Presidency and the House. If Trump wins and the Republicans control the House then we know that his policy will destroy SSA within 6 years. But if they're divided... Harris wins and Republicans control the House, or if Trump wins and the Democrats control the House... then nothing will really change and SSA will be insolvent within 9 years.

There is nothing that can be done by a president on social security without Congress approval. There is no law to stop Congress from raiding the Social Security fund. Doing nothing on Social Security will result in a cut. Insurance premiums will be increasing that Biden/Harris have been fighting not to happen to after the election. Trump's tax cuts will expire at the end of next year so if you need to withdraw money from 401k, retirement before it jumps up to 28 percent. Those tax cuts that help billionaires and millionaires. How many democrats actually think billionaires draw a salary? If Harris wins, their money will put in a trust, put in off shores accounts like the Bidens or many will use their dual citizenship that increased under Obama and have their money in another country. Same with corporations who will move driving up the unemployment. How many remember Apple having 200 billion overseas because the tax rate was too high before Trump. What about price gouging? There are federal and states laws and nobody is doing their job but Harris will as soon as she becomes president. And to really know who Harris is that she is trying to hide, she had been meeting once a month with the United Kingdom Labour Party with the number one priority of shutting down twitter. So much for freedom of speech. The Labour Party likes Harris so much they are sending a 100 people over here to help with her campaign. The Labour Party is what we call Socialism.

That is more Harris lies. Inflation is a tax on all of us. And who caused it? Harris and Biden.

Harris has plans to change tax laws that will include more death taxes. Farm land will have to be sold to pay those death taxes . That will mean less food for Americans.

Con, where do you think all that money is coming from? It is coming from somewhere. No, not FEMA, No not Social, No not Medicare, I know they will get it from those rich Republicans Millionaires and Billionaires. Or maybe just print more. (less noticeable)

Isn't it bad enough that the US government owes S/iS over $17 trillion already which will never be repaid, without considering cutting benefits or totally eliminating them?

Foxxy you are flat out lying, no illegal immigrant is getting social security!

President Trump's proposals to eliminate taxation of Social Security benefits, end taxes on tips and overtime, impose tariffs, and expand deportations would all widen Social Security's cash deficits. Under our central estimate, we find that President Trump's agenda would:

* Increase Social Security's ten-year cash shortfall by $2.3 trillion through FY 2035.

* Advance insolvency by three years, from FY 2034 to FY 2031 - hastening the next President's insolvency timeline by one-third.

* Lead to a 33 percent across-the-board benefit cut in 2035, up from the 23 percent CBO projects under current law.

* Increase Social Security's annual shortfall by roughly 50 percent in FY 2035, from 3.6 to 4 percent of payroll.

* Require the equivalent of reducing current law benefits by about one-third or increasing revenue by about one-half to restore 75-year solvency.

US Budget Watch 2024 is a project of the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget designed to educate the public on the fiscal impact of presidential candidates' proposals and platforms.
