DLD, I am glad you have been able to talk to someone about your experiences. Keeping traumatic stuff inside can be toxic to your soul. I know someone who was there about the same time, but the only time he ever talks about it is when he drinks..

I guess there are a few vet's that can look past bone spurs and "suckers and losers." but I don't know any personally. Old Fool must have found the few that do exist, they would probably hang out together. Or Old Fool could be flat out lying and as he is a MAGAT that would be much more likely. No doubt this response will result with a hoard of MAGATS "claiming"" they are vet's and agreeing with the OP, if you believe it, you're probably a MAGAT yourself.

Trump also made it where you could be seen by your Dr. of choice. Old School I was in Vietnam for a year in 1967 an was scared sh tless the whole time. Never ask for that as I was drafted. I havent been scared of nothing since then. I am in full agreement with everything you have said. By the way, one topic of our discussion was the collapse of the VA medical services. Trump kicked out 7,000 slackers and service picked up immensely . The allegations were first reported in The Atlantic. A senior Defense Department official with firsthand knowledge of events and a senior U.S. Marine Corps officer who was told about Trump's comments confirmed some of the remarks to The Associated Press, including the 2018 cemetery comments.
I wouldn't wipe with a page from The Atlantic or repeat anything I heard from the Associated Press. Both are nothing but Propaganda Hit Pieces. Trump denied it. So it is Trump vs The Atlantic, hands down I go with Trump.

I got to spend a little time today with some fellow veterans today and ALL of them have already voted for Trump. We discussed how or why anyone that has fought for this country could vote for the Harris/Walz ticket. All agreed we fought for generations to stop communism. I asked them why they went to war and all said it was to keep America as a Democracy. We did fight for your freedom but not one said that freedom included communism. Yes freedom of speech was talked about and we all agreed that the freedom we went to war for was not to protect profane and perverted lifestyles. If you are an actual veteran and can vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz would you please tell me how you can. If you intend to or have already then tell me what you went into combat for.
