Whether it is spreading disinformation about Haitian immigrants, hurricane relief or covid-19, Trump's lies serve to bolster his own ego (he alone can fix things!), undermine faith in democratic government, foment resentment against marginal groups and enrage his cult. This has been the conduct of right-wing authoritarians throughout history. The real disaster would be allowing such a figure to regain office and wield the power of the federal government against his enemies and the most vulnerable Americans.

Unfortunately, GoTruth, your own post reads like conspiracy theories/misinformation. Just some random dude with just one name, "Anthony" and his "father in law". Using one of the hardest hit areas of Helene "asheville". This sounds a lot like "the illegals in Springfield ate my cat". Fabulous click bait, but no way to prove or disprove until someone puts in the work to find "anthony" or his "father in law" If what you meant by your post was "we all need to verify before we share", I can agree with that. The problem is many msm outlets are proven to be unreliable with the way they alter their "facts", therefore verification is difficult. And with many on social media only telling half the story it can be even harder.

 Well hall, I guess we need to be like communist countries and do away with freedom of speech and the only ones that is allowed to say anything is the lefties. Well if you don't know it or can see it we are on the way to just that. Now it's not in big steps or jumps because that is to oblivious but a little at a time. If you can't see it and who really wants it then you are not paying attention or just don't care. Why do you think all theses illegals was let in? Ofcourse to get votes and retain control forever and be a dictatorship.
