It's not taken out of context at all, and wasn't an accidental slip. He has repeatedly insulted people without biological children over the years. He has called them "deranged" and "sociopathic," and at a rally argued that people without children should have less of a vote...

You're right about the low birthrate and SS and the workforce in general. But offending people will not get you voted into office. Most people who vote against Trump do so not because of his policies but because they don't like him, why give liberals more reason to be offended or upset independents and people who don't have children for whatever reason.
And it's not like Democrats don't say mean offensive things too, so get off your high horse HC.

There are many reasons why someone may not have children and many people love cats. We are all guilty of saying hurtful and stupid things sometimes and I would hate to have things I've said in the past brought back up and replayed day after day. Apologize and move forward, or Trump could dump his ***.
