I agree and disagree. I am not for defunding the police but throwing money at them is not the answer the profession needs a lot of changes. They need more education on what the laws are and the U.S. Constitution. Psych and education exams to weed out the the bully's and JBTs and the ignorant. QI needs to go away and each cop required to be bonded if they fail to be bonded because of their actions they can no longer be a cop. If a cop is found to have broke the law his cert. should be revoke and the punishment should be twice what a non Leo would get. If their illegal actions cause death or personal injury or the infringement of someones right it should be life in prison.
We absolutely don't need hotheads for cops or cops like the one in Fl. that ruined people live's by planting drugs on them. We don't need cops that think because they are law enforcement that they can do what ever they want or that the laws don't apply to them. We don't need cops who create dangerous situations and put people at risk like the Trooper who cause an accident in Watauga county on 421 by driving almost 100 MPH with no lights or siren who gets transferred to Wilkes only to cause another accident. Or the trooper in Rutherford County who was speeding and wrecked killing another trooper and the person that trooper had pulled over.
We need smart level headed educated people to be cops and should pay them accordingly not someone who has a chip on their shoulder and becomes a JBT.
They are many jobs out they that harder or more dangerous than being a cop in fact being a cop doesn't even make the top ten list.

NOT DEFUND the police. They 100% DESERVE it. Job isn't easy,can only imagine.

I've read allll I care to about the gvmt. Doing what they can to.
Leave the free world in complete despair.
Givem higher pay,high end equipment and more of it.
Kissing arse? NO.
