Disregarding safety issues shows that you are maliciously indifferent. Failing to clean up after yourself shows that you're both sorry and lazy.

See my point ? Bikers think the road is theirs and all should bow to the noise violation.

Correct Miller, the County Commissioners have enough to worry about without grass in the road. Hundreds of people are losing their jobs which will adversely affect Wilkes County in multiple ways. Besides, who in the world would enforce such an ordinance? It is hard enough trying to control the drug trafficking and abuse in this county. If they are going to adopt an ordinance it should be about the trash, vehicles and hoarders that make their property an eyesore throughout the county. And mobile home parks with old abandoned trailers that need to be demolished.

The county has nothing to do with roads and the best they could do would be a resolution. There is already laws on the books but it,comes to priorities. Go sit in court for the whole docket and you will probably be there all day. If tickets were issued for not carrying your driver license or putting straight pipes on a motorcycle, that would be all that would be on the docket. Take your pictures and send them to the DOT in Raleigh but be careful with what you sow.

And I would add that riding on the center line, passing in no passing zones and speeding are also dangerous.

Excellent point. Perhaps the way the hoe talks is what's required for Democrats to comprehend something.
While the rest of us just think that the person riding the bike should slow down and obey traffic laws.

surfer (view profile) | Posted 7:11 pm, 08/14/2024 | Grass and grass clippings are nearly 85% water. Regardless of whether they are wet or dry, when grass clippings are in the roadways, they can pose a danger to anyone passing by, especially motorcyclists. When grass clippings come between the tires of a motorcycle and the pavement, it poses a safety risk. For example, if a motorcyclist comes upon them suddenly after a curve and doesn't have time to slow their motorcycle, it can result in loss of traction, thus causing a wreck. The motorcyclist may then turn on the side, strike a tree, collide with another vehicle, or drive into a ditch. |

Sorry but I'm not really a Trump fan. I am only voting for him because RFK jr plans to throw his support to him. But this thread isn't really political. It's about the mindset of bikers thinking that they own the road. They don't. We share the road and each person that uses it should abide by its rules.

Tommy's last post is typical MAGATOLOGY. He has that Trump mindset: "Phugg you and everyone else and I don't give a monkeys phugg if you or anyone else gets hurt. Trump knew what he was doing when he decided to appeal to the worst elements of American society. Scum of the earth!

Because of you I will mow 3 of the 4 yards I mow this week into the road as much as possible. The 4th doesn't boarder a road or I'd do it there too.

Grass and grass clippings are nearly 85% water. With just two tires, a motorcycle needs constant traction to remain stable and upright on the road. The tires need to connect as well as stick to the asphalt for safe and controlled operation. And do you know what that means? It means that anything that interferes with the connect patch between the road and the motorcycle tires can put the rider in danger as they can lose control and thus, lead to a wreck. Therefore, it is essential to mow responsibly and ensure that the clippings don't blow in the road.

A: If grass clippings were negligently or intentionally blown into the road and the clippings were the cause of an accident that could be the basis of a lawsuit for injury or death.
