The new tax law could simply increase the taxes on the rich to the pre-Trump era while keeping them lower for everyone else.

Trump promised that his tax cuts to the rich would pay for themselves by generating economic growth. But that never happened, and instead they added up to $2 trillion-with-a-T to the federal debt.
