I read an article about him which stated that he was basically selective mute for 8 years because he had a really really bad stutter. A teacher asked him to read a couple of lines in a poem when he was in high school as an attempt to draw him out, and JEJ had no problems doing that! He said that a script is the savior of the stutterer ☺
