Younguns up in Ashe has for sure been going thru principles morn we can count. Our sources said the new feller at the high school is a babtist pastor also so we r taking bets on how long the ol boy will last trying to run a goverment school as such.

What was so serious about this incident? Kids, horseplaying in the dressing room. Been going on for years. He mooned them, they pretended to stick him with a broom. Even the kid said he was not assaulted or injured. This is nothing but race baiting trying to lead up to an election. It is a done deal, move on

A comment on the JP about the incident posted by SuperHeroDad says "This superintendent needs to be fired. This situation appears to not have been taken seriously back in April. I personally reported a concern to him 2 years ago regarding a situation with one of my children (not nearly as serious as this, but it was important to me). I received the same, nonchalant type of response. Needless to say, my children no longer go to Wilkes County Schools"

I think some of you need to go back and read the post in the Journal Patriot and see if you are stirring up another incident just for racist publicity. The boy said he was not assaulted, he was horseplaying with his friends in the locker room. Read it

A petition to Remove Mark Byrd and the Principal of Wilkes Central High school was conducted online at change.org on July 9th 2024. The petition received a total of 2,656 online signatures.

A member of the community that started the Petition Wrote "On April 22nd 2021 a 15 year old boy was assaulted by a group of 5 boys at Wilkes central high school. The superintendent Mark Byrd and the principal of Wilkes central Dion Stocks wrote it off as horse play. This is not horse play."

We didn't look for money, there's the difference between some. Money doesn't justify what happen to the little man.

As Donald said "I could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue and wouldn't lose any voters. We defend the rich also. One thing I've learned living in Wilkes is the poor take care of their own. Metal is right on. I had 3 brothers and we fought all the time. I knew how to defend myself and I did. No one bothered me, you pop them in the mouth once and they leave you alone forever. One thought they would bully me, didn't happen. I wasn't raised to be a candy arse.

Three underage students were given six months supervision by the courts.

Two adult students were charged with simple assault. Due to the records being expunged, their possible convictions are not known.

The facts show that the child reported it to the principal, but the principal decided that sexual assault was "horseplay" and didn't bother reporting it until the parents got involved.

Our sources said that Byrd feller use to be a teacher at North High which is mornlikely where he learned how to administrate, theys aplenty of chicken s*** which comes outta Traphill also.

Sounds like someone needs to be more worried about how to prevent something like this from happening again and not be worried about "Insurance Premiums". Tells you alot if I say so myself.
