The Shah and Iran/Contra did not belong to Obama or Biden. And Trump's only reason for tightening the screws was to piss off Iran and find an excuse for war against a much weaker opponent, The fact that service personnel would probably have been killed and wounded was of course no concern to "The Great Warrior President."

The claim that President Barack Obama's administration gave $150 billion to Iran is not accurate. The $150 billion figure is related to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). However, this was not funding given to Iran; rather, it involved granting Iran access to foreign assets that were previously frozen under sanctions. The JCPOA was an international agreement involving multiple nations, not just the United States. The U.S. did not directly provide cash to Iran

ole consul, tribune, henry11 centurion an whatever else you want to call him, some on here call him piss ant, hasnt got a clue about Iran. It was your president that gave Iran 60 billion dollars to start playing war. Trump had them so strapped for cash they couldnt breath. An also your boy Biden canceled the sanctions on them an cancelled eveything else Trump did, So quit lying.

HEY consul? Did you ever use Unofire, or any spelling of unofire, on gowilkes as a screen name previously? Any post, on any thread will be considered an affirmation. I will continue to post wherever it does.

Had Trump left Iran alone they would still be a long wat from weapons grade capability. They'd still be under supervision and not a potential nuclear threat. He was looking for an excuse to start a war on the pretext of a preemptive strike. A war against a weaker enemy that couldn't possibly win, a bully's action. But what a legacy for your great warrior president!

The whole Iran mess belongs to the oil companies with the collusion of two administrations. The "removal" of Mossadegh and replacing him with the Shah and the Iran/Contra deal.

Much of the development was completed during Trump's useless presidency. He gets credit for giving Iran the green light with no more restrictions once he terminated the deal.

"Joe deregulated trade with Iran giving them billions to use for their nuclear weapons program. Thanks Joe"

They used billions to fund terrorists around the globe, too. Thanks Joe.

And they have told the world what they intend to do with it. It will not be for the benefit of their people with cheap safe power.

Fact Check: Why did Donald Trump ditch the Iran deal? | The Week

Donald Trump's decision to make good on his promise to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal comes after many months of bad-mouthing and downplaying his predecessor's landmark foreign policy initiative

The announcement, while widely anticipated, leaves in tatters the 2015 agreement reached by seven countries after more than two years of negotiations.
