Had Trump left Iran alone they would still be a long wat from weapons grade capability. They'd still be under supervision and not a potential nuclear threat. He was looking for an excuse to start a war on the pretext of a preemptive strike. A war against a weaker enemy that couldn't possibly win, a bully's action.
