@Actually, when Ed Faron was arrested it appears to have been done by the Wilkes Sheriff's Office:

Or, at least, Sheriff Dane Mastin commented on the arrest and the article implies that he was involved in the arrest.

I was contacted in early March by someone with the NC SBI, though, so they may be pursuing their own separate investigation.

What law enforcement agency can charge Stoney Greene for dog fighting?

Go Wilkes was first to start the investigation. And I think he was first with the photo scandal. I think both did great work in getting justice for all of us. Now if only the feds will do something for justice for all the tortured and dead animals. Maybe some time in prison would give him a chance to look back on his crimes.

@ghostdogs, here are the posts that contained the majority of the information that I used:

You're welcome to compare dates and times.

I also used some information provided to me by Janette Reever of the Humane Society of the United States; specifically, Reever sent the information to me regarding "Champion Victoria", along with the official definitions of the acronyms used in dog fighting (Grand Champion, Champion, 3XW, and ROM).

Personally, I rarely use Facebook and have never even looked at Megan's group.

****

Update: I just looked; the information regarding dog fighting was posted here on or before March 5. Megan's group was launched on March 9.

You basically just compiled stuff that Megan has been posting since March. Kinda lame taking credit for her hard work and investigative research.

Got to sell advertising I guess. Still lame AF

WRONG ..... I will take up for Jason..... if it wasn't for his work and for this site SG would not and I say would not see how the county felt about him. Go Wilkes did confirm what Megan said and VERIFIED all information so goo dang work Jason

Good Riddance Stoney Greene. The only problem is, Wilkes County citizens will be paying for his mistakes for years and years.

Now we need to get a rule in place where all candidates go through background checks. We certainly do not want another criminal on our boards.

I have officially confirmed with the County Attorney that, yes, Stoney Greene signed a letter of resignation today.

It's not technically "official", though, until the Commissioners vote to accept it tonight. It would be a huge shock if they did not accept it, though.

We also discussed the legality of whether I can legally speak in Public Comments about him, since he will no longer be a Commissioner. As a technicality he WILL still be a Commissioner during the Public Comments, so the County Attorney is going to verify the legality of it and get back to me.

I'll keep you all posted!

Thank You GoWilkes for your posts about this individual. But one must remember, this is Wilkes county and ANY one running for office is automatically qualified by having an "R" beside their name on any ballot Just ask Donnie von ****zinpants supporters qualities about him or get ready for personal attacks

If in fact he has resigned it is only because private citizens took action. GW did the entire state a favor.

However we must realize there are people in leadership positions who ran cover for Mr Greene and that's a problem.

I plan to speak at tonight's meeting, and here is the visual aid for the presentation that I gave to the County Manager's office yesterday:

I'm hearing that Stoney Greene resigned after seeing it, but I just called the County Offices and wasn't able to verify it. I'm currently waiting on a call back, and I'll update as soon as it's officially confirmed.

The problem is he came with no dignity and he will leave with less. Sad

Dog Gate, we the citizens have to keep the pressure on and not let this fade into the twilight because that is exactly what they want. SMI(Marcus Smith) doesn't want Mr. Greene at the racetrack and involved in the publicity for the race events, and the the citizens of Wilkes don't want him representing Wilkes County on a big public front, because he is a complete embarrassment to himself and Wilkes. There is more information forthcoming in the next few weeks also, so this is far from over for him. He should resign this evening and leave with what little bit of dignity he has left, if any.

It is being reported that the racetrack will not have Greene attending any events at racetrack. This is a positive thing. Citizens do not want this individual representing them anywhere. The county government should be aware and take actions or they will be losing support themselves.

Tonight is the commissioner meeting. I think he will be censured. But we want him out.

I agree Thomas. If it was not for the public reaction, there would not be anything else said about this . And certainly will not stop till he is out of office. I am still calling for an investigation. There has been some dirty stuff going on.

There's never been any mention of Trump having a dog. I can just visualize a junk yard dog tucking its tail and running off yelping upon sighting the orange apparition.
