By the JP he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was exonerated. If I read it correctly.

He has 2 supporters with only 1 up for election. Johnson is up for election and Sexton is his other supporter. And by supporter I mean they normally always vote the same against the other 2 Republicans.

Dog gate, I dont know why people are upset. Ive said numerous times Im not in Wilkes county. I was responding to these envious people about county commissioner not having power. Last time I checked the county where I do live they have the power to raise your taxes an to me thats a hellava lot more them I have.

Mr. Greene by his own admission to several people, several different times admitted that he knew what kind of event he was attending in NJ, and that he told his friend that was with him that they were going to a "cookout", so the only innocent victim here is the other party from Wilkes that was with Mr. Greene, he was truly in the "wrong place, at the wrong time", not Mr. Greene. Mr. Greene led "his friend" to a dog fight,"cookout" under false pretenses that resulted in a innocent individual getting wrapped in his illegal activities.

Let that sink in.

Well said!!! Point, on Point! Basically, Hubbard gave him a forum to "sugar coat" it, and now it is "business" as usual. Fact is this......"birds of a feather flock together" Do we want someone from Wilkes who is known to be involved in Dog Fighting and Abuse of Women, in Raleigh representing us??? Bottom line is this, People are either for this vile, cruel blood sport and will support him or they are against it and will vote against him. This is a referendum on the moral fiber of Wilkes Count......LET THAT SINK IN!!

You can put "lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig" The people that are involved in this are just low life trash, anyone who supports, and try's to make light of this, and is involved in the Horrendous Blood Sport of Dog Fighting is PERVERTED! Despicable! Hubbard is just as low life as the the rest of these sick, twisted, low life trash! Wilkes is better then this.....OR IS IT???

Let that sink in.

That's a phrase Mr Greene likes to use. So let's take a look at this from a broader perspective. We have a candidate for NC House who touts honesty and integrity while being affiliated with a criminal enterprise. He doesn't have the discernment to hit the clubs out of town. He can't manage his own financial life and based on what I've read here isn't credit worthy enough to buy his own house or truck? Mr Greene made himself a public figure when he ran for office and he made this mess by not being an honest and wise person.

So, Let's just let that sink in for a minute. Is this the best person to vote for?

The phone number for Killer Klown Kennels has been confirmed that the owner of that number was a LYNDA GREENE which from a post on this site suggest that was Stoney's ex wife. I bet Stoney at the time the Killer Klown Kennels ad was placed with the number belonging to Lynda Greene, they were together.... Stoney and Lynda.

Stoney is downplaying this, the local media downplayed this, we should stop trusting in the JP. Demand a better full story. Stoney has zero creditability at this point. Wilkes Co is a joke because of Stoney.

What happened to honest investigative journalism?

I try not to get in the middle of these things, but I wanted to mention that, when I was confirming the connection, I found this that was posted in 2020:

You can see that several of the dogs have notes like (1XW), which means that they won 1 time in a pit fight. That was all posted only 4 years ago.

And you can see that some of the dog names are identical to the dog names for Killer Klown Kennels, which is a known dog fighting breeder:

And since the press release from Animal Wellness Action is now on the second page, I wanted to reiterate one important statement from Wayne Pacelle:

"Based on my involvement in working to dismantle animal fighting operations over 30 years, I believe there is sound support for the claim circulating in Wilkes County that Stoney Greene was meaningfully involved for at least some period of years in the barbaric practice of dogfighting."

From JP Article I have copied and pasted below in bold. I am going to point out two things and I wish the readers of this post to tell me their opinions if the JP did horrible journalism to make this as favorable as they could for Stoney, and say they covered this.

Greene provided the Wilkes Journal-Patriot a copy of an order from Judge Rochelle Gizinski granting the expungement, filed in New Jersey Superior Court, Ocean County, on Feb. 16, 2024.

Why did Stoney file for this in Feb of 2024? To hide his past from the voters? Timing suggest cover up?

The order said the charges expunged from Greene's record were witness/pay admission to fighting dogs, criminal trespass/unlicensed entry of structures and gambling on animal fight. The order didn't include disposition of the charges.
He may be correct the order may not include the disposition of the charges, however the Asbury Park Press on Oct 31st 2002 wrote about a court diversion program and said Stoney S. Greene Pulear NC was admitted to that program and if he completed the program the charges could eventually be dismissed. Now this was not dismissed due to lack of evidence, Stoney agreed and entered into a program.

Why wait so many years to get expungement? Simply he wanted to hide his past from the voters it was important now, but it was not important over the last 20 years?

Note the future dates mentioned on GoWilkes show Stoney continued to engage in activities linked to dogfighters as recent as 2016, when on Facebook he himself wrote about Ed Farron a convicted dog fighter from Wilkes as a mentor to Stoney.

We have one of the largest farms in America here in this county of game fowl, and the owner of that fowl has acknowledged his wins fighting game fowl around the globe that is posted here at GoWilkes, This person donated nearly 10 percent of the total campaign funds to Stoney's campaign, and don't even reside in Stoney's district. That person is from a wealthy powerful family in Wilkes, and that has been brought up here on GoWilkes, but nope the JP did not cover that despite the facts.

So do you believe we have fair journalism in Wilkes, or are they all in this together?

I suggest this stinks, being in the "wrong place at the wrong time"? A DOGFIGHT was going on duh, if you thought it was a dog show, and discovered it was a dog fight then why not leave and call the law and report the cruelty?

Stoney do you think the people of Wilkes are that stupid? You are insulting the intelligence of the citizens you serve if you expect them to buy your response.

If you get elected NO ONE AT THE NC HOUSE WILL WORK WITH YOU, and that is not fair to the people of Wilkes and Alexander.
Stoney instead of trying to downplay this you SHOULD of just admitted the truth by saying, I was trying to hide this from the voters. I am sorry I will do better please vote for me,. Instead you are trying to Pawn lies on the voters, you should be ashamed.

DLD, and exactly why is people upset over that? Because stupid incompetent individuals voted to spend a **** of a lot of money instead of $7M . That is what you get when people elect a trucker/ farmer/ educator and fireman. They have never dealt with any real money and know nothing about business and finance. One cannot even pay his bills.

Why did he not mention his kennels and the pit bulls he sold? Jason said there were numbers rating their performances in fights. Can he not speak the truth as a Christian?

And you think he has power? This little county? We had a commissioner that served time if you remember. It is not a power position unless you are nothing and have nothing.

This is Greene's response

Greene said in an interview Sunday in response to this information that he was "at the wrong place at the wrong time" when he was arrested in New Jersey on Oct. 27, 2001. Greene added that he was showing pit-bull dogs in dog show competitions at that point. He was 24 then.

Greene said a judge dismissed the charges filed against him in New Jersey. He later hired an attorney to get the charges expunged

does he hang out with the Church folks? I noticed someone mentioned that all this was a smear campaign pushed by Eddins supporters. Looks like Church folks doing the smearing then Blair Eddins for NC House

Well, I noticed you didnt address the power. An as far as being late to the game, you should have done your checking about two years ago. Too late after the fact. Where I live its called homework.

My mistake. You did write "game" and I read "party."

I am happy that you think it is a game. Most games have rules that are understood by the players. One might argue that important games have officials who enforce the rules.

In this particular "game" some of the players are reviewing the rules and deciding whether Mr. Greene violated either the letter or the spirit of the rules. It will then be decided whether he gets to play the game for even bigger stakes.
