I think all animal abuse should be stopped. Anyone involved in it, or allows it to happen is nothing but trash in my opinion. I believe in karma. You will pay for your actions.

Just curious. I understand people see Dogfighting as one of the most horrible crimes. I agree next to murder, rape, harming children ,or the elderly dogfighting is up there on the list. What about c*ckfighting? Those type of farms are throughout Wilkes County. I would say that our county has more large c*ckfighting farms than any County in NC.
Cockfighting is linked to drug cartels, public corruption, money laundering, child abuse......well the list goes on and on.....Should we allow this behavior to go un checked in Wilkes? We can clearly see a high profile c*ckfighter is donating to political campaigns here. Furthermore if you read in one of the Stoney treads people defended this person because they or their family own massive amounts of land, equipment, and pay a lot of taxes. Does that mean they are above the law?
If we would like to clean up Wilkes, we must deal with it all. We can take our county back.

I DON'T KNOW THIS TO BE A FACT....It has be suggested to me that Martin Roofing received a contract or contracts already to work on county buildings such as the courthouse. I wonder if Martin roofing has received contracts related to any other board decisions Stoney serves on?
Does anyone have any information to verify this ?

I don't think they are ashamed. That is the problem. They have been talking about all the mean people talking. No talk of dying dogs. We are the problem. The ones standing up for the rights of animals. Animals should be cared for, protected and not tortured at a fight where they fight according to his own ad, for 2 hours at a time. Fighting for their lives.
Looking at property where he lives, the property behind it is owned by his family. So you think they were not aware? His wife was aware since her name was on his ads.
If you are aware of crimes against animals and do nothing, you are as guilty as the breeder/fighter himself.
I cannot even think of a more savage hobby as this. Or I guess it was his profession, his financial business. And his family did nothing!

That does not surprise me them cutting the time.
In fact, a couple of months ago, Greene and Sexton voted to shut down public comments of county citizens to only one meeting per month. They were out voted. So those two absolutely don't care what the public has to say. Just watch their body language. So you should remember that when you vote. They do not want to hear from you but they sure wanted your vote!
No time limits here. We can talk as much and as often as we want!

Now it appears the commission is trying to control the narrative and sweep this under the rug by changing their own rules for speaking at a council meeting.
Their own rules state a person wishing to speak has 5 mins but for the meeting Tuesday night they are limiting the speaker time to 3 mins.
These people have forgotten that they are public servants and work for the
people. This kinda behavior is unacceptable. They people of Wilkes County should have a voice and be heard.
They honestly don't care about the voice of the people or about animal torture.
They will find out come election time when there are billboards all over town with the names of politicians, elected officials and businesses that support Greene. It will be before election time I feel confident.

Wilkes 1977 I happen to be one of those outside looking in. Unbelieveable that this has garnered 522 post, a few in support but mostly non support. No wonder Wilkes is known for rednecker hillbillies.
