Why would anyone want to be associated with him in anyway? As the animals 24-7 group said, " he was backed by c*ckfighting money" and "associated with the Barbaric and criminal practice of dog fighting ." His kennel name had the initials of KKK and this was common for this group. In the history of the KKK they were involved in dog fighting, gambling, moonshine, and prostitution.
What a black eye for Wilkes County. It takes you back to the very dark history here.

He was arrested in NJ. Yes, I think if someone is arrested in another place for child abuse, they should not be allowed to be around children anywhere. And the same for animals. If you are selling animals to be killed and to kill, you should not be allowed to have them. Could the pit bulls that killed the 89 year old woman here in Wilkes been bred at his kennel? Could the dogs that attack another lady in Wilkes that survived have been from his kennel? We do not need dogs that kill or people that raise those killers located in this county.
Maybe if your child goes to the mailbox like the 89 year old did, they could get attacked just like she did. How would you like that?

Does the county allow individuals that are charged with abuse of children to operate a day care center? So why would they allow a known animal abuser to own animals?

County should be putting in laws where if you have ever been involved with dog fighting and fowl fighting and animal abuse that you should never be able to have or own any type animals.

The Best evidence I have seen is the election results.
Eddins received 4,829 votes (49.36%); Greene, 3,734 (38.17% Looks like a lot of people in Wilkes believe he did it

Go Wilkes, what is your "evidence" that you say you confirmed mr green was convicted of dog fighting?
@Appman1, I did not say that I confirmed that he was convicted. I stated that I was able to confirm his connection to dog fighting.
I have made 19 posts throughout this thread on this topic, including 1 under "GoNC" and 2 using my other username of "JC". My statements have included:
1. newspaper articles that describe the arrest in detail, which Mr. Greene eventually acknowledged;
2. statements from the president of Animal Wellness Action and the Program Manager Animal Crimes and Investigations from the Humane Society International (and expert on criminal dogfighting) regarding his connection;
3. an article that describes a pit fight in gross detail in 2013 that includes his old kennel name ("Killer Klown Kennels") and one of his dogs; and
4. where he has updated his information with the ADBA as recent as 2020 with dog fighting statistics.

I am really proud of us. We researched, we investigated, we found the evidence of the photos scandal, we found the evidence of the arrests in NJ. We got proof in newspaper articles, and letters from attorneys. We got the story and this allowed 2 animal groups to pick it up. How about that? We can continue this fight. I am sure we can find more. There will be more to come.

GoWilkes confirmed connection to dogfighting by citing reliable sources such as articles, and other post and publications. Stoney admitted himself he was at a dog fight in the past to the JP. "Wrong place at the wrong time".
I don't think there is no disputing this fact? Am I missing something?

The corruption in Wilkes is going to be exposed, Stoney was just the start. After all of these years, the citizens have finally had enough with the "big fish in the little pond". A salt water angler is is coming for the big fish in the little pond.
