Spectrum versus Carolina West Port issues

I don't know this for sure, but I've been told by people that should know that they all lease towers to one another so coverage should be the same regardless.
If that's the case then there's no advantage in pay more money for any of them... just pick the cheapest.
A few years ago I found that T-Mobile was the best deal, and I've been using them ever since with no complaints.

Tilly 22 is correct but there are certain numbers that cannot be ported. I learned this lesson when moving my AT&T phone number to Carolina West. Carolina West ran my number through the port checking system and it was flagged that was unable to port. In speaking with them and AT&T I learned that all cell carriers have this issue with certain numbers.

Per FCC rules a carrier cannot refuse to let you port your number if you choose to do so.

We have Verizon Wireless and have coverage throughout Wilkes & the High Country.

Family members have told me that bark and spectrum have limited service in Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties, but I have not tested that.

I stopped at Spectrum yesterday checking the prices of their phone plans and phone cost. I stopped at Carolina West over the weekend and price versus price Spectrum is cheaper. Does Spectrum have good service ? I was told Bark or Carolina West won't release the number to port to Spectrum ? Is this true ? Anyone have issues keeping your old number and port issues ? I have cell service with Bark now, just looking to upgrade my phone .
