Luckily someone messaged me to let me know that the server was having an issue! I was watching TV and had no idea But for some reason the load was spiking REALLY high.


The server has 24 CPUs, so a load of 24 is considered maxed out. When I got here, the load was over 120!

I can't find a cause for it, so I shut down the web server for about 5 minutes to let it cool down and then turned it back on. Right now the load is at 3.6; still higher than I'd like, but it could just be running software updates.

I'll be watching closely for the next 2 hours, but right now it looks OK.
