Socialism doesn't work because nobody works under socialism, after socialism comes communism so the government can put everyone back to work and get rid of their rivals. Russia is the greatest example of socialism and you see how it turns out.

Communism isn't Stalinism! A communist government has never existed nor ever will because of human nature. A regime that has an all powerful dictator at its head whose cronies draw huge salaries, are driven around in Zis limousines, have Dachas in the country and enjoy many other luxuries is not communist, they might label themselves as communist but they aint. In their blissful ignorance people like Tail Gunner Joe chose to use communism when referring to a thinly disguised form of fascist dictatorship. Others continue to emulate McCarthy incorrectly use the term to this day. The very idea of: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." is unacceptable to so many people that communism will never ever fly. Ideologies such as Trump's have much more appeal with their emphasis on self-centeredness and greed.

Are you saying that equal opportunity employment is communist?
I'm not familiar with any "redistribution of wealth," can you cite an example of that? I've seen the opposite... giving more money to the rich under the pretense that it will "trickle down," which we now know has never happened.

Just how many want to live in communism.. this country is not anything like it was when I was growing up. Little by little we are heading that direction. Little steps are not noticed much but the steps are getting bigger and bigger.
