Forgot to mention ... the one on I 40, the one near Hickory and the one in Charlotts were all named ZODIAC.

There is only a senior center in Fairplanes.

There used to be one in Statesville one near Hickory, and Charlotte .

In statesvile it is the VFW Sat. night . dancing, live band. dress code... no jeans casual sports dress.

Another in Statesville just off I 40. A brick bld that was built just for a singles club. Lots of members all single , dress code , Fri anc Sat. live band.

In Maiden , near Hickory. Large bld , sat night. live band , hundreds of members all single statu s.
dress code , suit for men , semi formal for women.

Same in Charlotte.

All of this was yrs ago when I was younger .

I sang at the dances. I bet they still exist but you have to check
