antithesis

Posted 1:31 am, 07/31/2024

I haven't tried this one yet, but it sounds delicious!!

6-8 tart apples, cored but not peeled
Soaked Applewood chips
6 ounces of fresh blueberries
8 ounces of softened cream cheese
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of oats
1/3 cup of butter
2/3 teaspoon of nutmeg
2/3 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 small jar of blueberry preserves

Wrap the wood chips in aluminum foil, then poke holes in the top. Place them in your grill, then turn up the heat to maximum.

Place the apples in the grill for about 20-30 minutes, or until they're just starting to get soft.

In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, butter, oats, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a greased baking dish, spread the blueberry preserves in an even layer.

Slice the cooked apples into eighths, then place them on top of the layer of blueberry preserves. Add the fresh blueberries on top, then cover with the oat mixture.

Put the cream cheese in a piping bag or plastic wrap with a tip cut off, and pipe it over the top.

Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
