They are absolutely ruining life in West Jefferson. We see license plates from New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Illinois, etc. every day.

I've talked to some of them and they seem to know why they are fleeing to NC . One guy said I made really good money in NY and I couldn't afford to live there anymore. Hopefully they remember why they're running to NC.

With all the Democrats fleeing their blue state problems should we let them come to North Carolina and take up refuge? These are the same people that destroyed the states they are fleeing from. My suggestion would be to make them pay it forward on taxes, pay it backward on infrastructure, and not be allowed to vote Democrat for the first 10 years. They should not be allowed on school boards, political offices, homeowner associations, or jury duty. The dirt in New York is the same type dirt here, it is the people that made it undesirable, those same people moving here. Time to check their baggage at the state line. Come clean or go home
