Exactly. Congress needs to do there jobs. Plus, do you think that unelected bureaucrats are not susceptible to bribes?

It shouldn't be left to un-elected Government bureaucrats either Congress is supposed to write the laws they need to do their jobs and not leave to it to a untouchable Gov. employee who doesn't have to worry about answering to the people

Agree to disagree. I don't think that important issues like environmental regulations should be subject to popular opinion or legal bribery.

They can speak to experts before passing legislation. It can then be enforced with intent it was for.

The problem is that Congressmen aren't experts on all topics, either. The most common field for them to have a degree is political science, with history being a distant second. What do political scientists and historians know about things like the environment?

Congress will have to write very clear legislation instead of all encompassing 1,000 page pieces. It will have to clearly say what the intent of the legislation is. They will have to do their jobs.

I think this is the worst decision they've ever made.
Now, when a judge doesn't know what he's talking about, he can still legislate from the bench instead of deferring to experts.
Backed by the Supreme Court making it legal to bribe judges, this is a HUGE blow to the American people.
I can't see how anyone in their right mind is cheering for this.

Government agencies can still enforce regulations and rules. They just can't make them up anymore. The way it was the 200 plus years of our existence.

I don't know what you do your thinking with but I'm trying to give an example of what happens when you have lax or no regulations. Try thinking with your big head for a change, although I don't hold up much hope for that one either. Just give up on trying to be clever, it aint your forte.

India as in Asia, yes. Union Carbide as in a US owned company, yes. A company lured to India by the prospect of lower wages and lax to non-existent safety regulations, yes.

Union Carbide gas leak; Bhopal, India 1984, the greatest industrial disaster in history. After all the official enquiries it came down to lack of safety regulations. If you want to place profits over safety OK, but NIMBY!

of this session so far. Chevron is gone. Government agencies can no longer create regulations or rules without the express consent of congress. This is a great day. Congress will now have to focus on doing their jobs and having their votes on the record every time a regulation is passed that takes away our freedom.
