There's no denying that Trump's Depression and hyper inflation screwed over a lot of us. But this really doesn't even make sense. Social Security COLA is proportionate to inflation, so unless they're renting then their percentage of expense to income should be exactly the same.

The older generation are having to ask for help from their families because everything is so expensive now. Those who can are going back to work or working longer into their 70s.
