Randy Marion Being Sued For $180 Million

interesting fact

Posted 6:42 pm, 08/03/2024

Didn't the article say that Marion had been dishonest in telling the manufacturer they had sold more vehicles than they really had sold?

Metal, hon, he was parodying what he thinks Randy Marion was saying...

Sounds like he is trying to get those vehicles at a much lower price. I would not think that he is being very honorable. Sure would not buy anything there.

According to Stellantis, they think that they were buying all of them for several years to create a shortage, then hoped for the price to go up so that they could sell them for a lot more money. It didn't work, though, so they think Stellantis should buy them all back at full price

Stellantis is struggling right now, though, after "profits fell almost 50 percent in the first half of 2024," and I don't know that they have $180 million to burn...

What are they going to sell? I heard that he has done this before but do not know if that is true or not. Sounds like he is trying to get those vehicles at a much lower price. I would not think that he is being very honorable. Sure would not buy anything there.

Them vehicles stored all over are fleet vehicles. Sold in bulk to industries or companies, sometimes large construction companies.

At least thats my understanding. Who would want a basic model white truck?

You don't need a lawyer to tell you there is something funny going on when you see fields and woods parked full of new pickups. Somebody told me you couldn't even buy one of them because they were already sold, must not be. Maybe they will run a big sale and quit asking a war pension for one of them. Get cheap enough I might even trade for one. If I do it will be a white one

Stop selling dodge ? Stellantis owns the other automobile companies they sale.

I don't see where Stellantis owns GM or Ford which are sold by Randy Marion

Pull Back the Curtain

Let`s hide the fleet vehicles in the fields behind the dealership in that little town called Wilkesboro. Those hicks will ever notice the rows and rows and rows of white trucks.

Best I can make of the story, Randy Marion said that they intend to stop selling Dodge and expected Stellantis to buy the new vehicles back.

Stellantis countered by stating that Randy Marion has more or less been falsifying their sales records, which led to "an unusually large inventory of 3,841 fleet units." They claim that Randy Marion was stockpiling vehicles using unauthorized account numbers so that they could "resale at higher prices during a period of high demand."
