The portrayal is offensive and to compare a monument to the heroes of Iwo Jima in a derogatory manner, to that of an entertainer is about as unpatriotic as it's possible to get. You just added one more justification for MAGATS to be regarded as anti- American.

Firstly, it is a PHOTOGRAPH that has been turned into a meme. Secondly, the monument was created from a staged photograph that recreated the actual event. Thirdly, the actual place the event happened at could be considered sacred, maybe. Lastly, the monument is about as sacred as the Doc Watson monument on King St in Boone
