You pledge your $100 dollars and I will forward the receipt to Jason for confirmation. We'll take his word for authenticity. He was moderated bets on here before.

The comparable mower is $2139 now, by the way...

That's a 32% increase over 9 years... roughly 3% per year, which is the average inflation.

Not denying that the inflation rate spiked after COVID, of course, we saw that happen worldwide! Thankfully, Biden's policies helped us recover better than every other first world nation. Had Trump been in office he would have ordered them to "print more money..."
The list price you gave of $999 would have been over 20 years ago, not 2014...

Looking at some old receipts earlier, I noticed where I bought a 42" 17.5 HP riding mower in 2014 for $899 + tax. List price was $999 and I don't recall how I got the $100 discount. Anyhow a comparable mower is over $2000 now, only 9 years later.

Can you post the receipt?

I found this from 2014 about Craftsman 42" mowers, and at the time they were $1500-2000 or you could buy direct for $1614.99...

I was just slapping around Unoliar a bit because he had asked for it. Then you came on here calling me a liar knowing full well I couldn't hold you a light to go by.

As far as the mower goes, it was 2014 not 20 years ago which proves you're the liar, not me.
By the way I have the dated email receipt for the mower and will be glad to share it with you for a hundred dollar wager.

I've never been a CNA, I think you have the same memory on this as you did when you pretended to have bought a lawn mower and were off on the price by about 20 years...

Why do you refuse to discuss the topic, though, and always try to resort to insults and personal attacks? Are you so insecure in your ideology that you simply can't discuss an issue?

Lol, clearly you dont since nothing you said has been relevant to anything of years past.

Good try though!

I just have a good memory for things you said on here years ago. The only thing that escapes my memory is the other handle you had way back when. And I think that will probably come back to me.

Lol. Poor guy. It must suck to be a washed up wussy. All that whining and nothing to show for it.

You have weird and gross fantasies, DB

I hate to kink shame, but you are hyper focused on butt wiping and that's just not my kind of thing...

DB Cooper

The best you could do is prove you're the best butt wiper in Elkin. And that's not a sure thing.

I've proven DB to be a liar on this many times.

But to the topic...

We know that grocery stores have been price gouging, raising retail prices well above the whole sale increase.

I suspect that restaurants are doing the same thing, mainly because they can. Their wholesale cost goes up 5%, then they raise their price 50% and everyone just blames inflation.

I've been going to Yadkin Valley Seafood lately, they have good fish and fair prices. I get broiled Alaskan whitefish with slaw and a sweet potato, for $12.45. They've only gone up $1-2 on everything since 2019, so they're not gouging like some places are.

Maybe some Gravy Train would perk you up, numnutz.

Unoliar is so malnourished his brain has shriveled up. It looks like a doggie terd.

Thanks. Joe!

No they aren't.

Great Value 48 oz canola oil: Trump price $1.35, Biden price $4.12.

Experts blame Joe's greenie weenie energy policies for the jump. People in poorer countries are having to boil food now because of the price of cooking oil.

Thanks, Joe!

This morning I say a man on T V with this story.

He found in his phone his monthly list of groc for one person order from walmart in 22. It was 45 items and came to 127. dollars.

He wanted to see what they cost now so he order the same thing again. The cost of the same items came to 425 . dollars.

There in a nut shell is biden's inflation.

One has to wonder how Dingle Berry can pay that HOA but allegedly can't afford to eat.

I noticed a lunch special recently at a restaurant in Ashe County. It was a baloney sandwich for $8.00. No sides or drink as I recall. Thanks, Joe!
