Biden's executive action would pause new asylum requests after the number of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border hits a daily average of 2,500 over the span of a week. Under the order, asylum requests can resume once the daily average falls back to 1,500.

No one ever said that, I said that he can't flat deny entry to refugees because of the Refugee Act of 1984.
But it has always had an annual limit... which Biden lowered.
The facts show that Biden is infinitely tougher on immigration than Trump was, it's just Russian propaganda that makes people think the opposite.

He's finally found the refuge act of 1984 that he helped pass where there's a limit to how many asylum seekers that can be let into the USA in any given year.
For those that like facts instead of Russian propaganda...
The Refugee Act of 1984 originally called for a yearlong limit of 270,000 asylum seekers. Biden was able to change that limit to 125,000.
125,000 a year would be 342 a day. The new policy with a limit of 2,500 a day prevents a flood in the first part of the year that would lead to us being forced to refuse asylum to everyone at the end of the year.
