Maybe I heard wrong but the commission on presidential debates has nothing to do with these "debates". Biden come up with the format and just so happen CNN was in the neighborhood and willing to do it. Early dates so if you screw up, long time until election. Less people watching tv in the summer. No audience for the debates to stop cheers from Trump's supporters. Cut Trump's mic off when time is up and when he is speaking. Now again Joe came up with this platform and dates and had to think Trump wouldn't agree but I guess he was wrong. So there will be a national emergency, Trump will end up in court, or Joe will say it wasn't him, it was AI that did it.
They will mute Trump's microphone every time he says something they don't like. Which will be every time he says something. This won't be a debate, it will be Trump trying to talk into a dead microphone while Biden reads from his script.
Do I hear panic? A public debate are you crazy you might as well let him testify at his trial. If he gets to speak freely, he'll blow everything to hull! All he's good for is slandering judges, prosecutors and witnesses et al.
The only place he gets any appreciation for speaking is at his mob fests where he has an audience of deranged MAGATS, with his stormtroopers to beat up and throw out any dissenters. The reaction to his rhetoric elsewhere ranges from incredulous disgust to hilarious laughter.
