The Republican congress members that are criticizing Trumps proposed appointees seem to outnumber those openly standing behind him. In fact, those that are defending his actions are doing so in a luke warm, wet fart manner. There's been a lot of no comments and ducking the press, but no enthusiastic support. Could it be that they're getting tired from hanging on to that orange tiger's tale?

Jim,
I have mixed feelings on that,
1) A person can be too old both physically and mentally but,
2) It's an elected position and the voters should be able to vote for whoever they want.

POTUS is already term limited. I'd love to see term limits for Congress but it would literally take an act of Congress and I think we both know that ain't going to happen.

It just doesn't matter.
Trump will likely replace 3 more justices, giving him the majority. They will have a blank check to do whatever they want, including overturning the 22nd Amendment.
Whatever happens at this point is irrelevant, America is already over. At this point we're just talking about a great movie with a bad ending while the credits roll...

For a Constitutional Amendment limiting the number of Supreme Court justices to nine and setting a maximum age for any Justice appointed after January 1 2026; I'd say when age plus years of service equals 85 it's mandatory retirement.
