I was just referring to this paragraph in the article...
Shepherd taught at North Davidson Senior High School from 1988 to 1990 and in 1990 was named health and PE teacher at West Wilkes High School. He was named assistant principal at Central Wilkes Middle in 2003 and at North Wilkes High in 2004. Shepherd became principal at North Wilkes Middle in 2005 and at West Wilkes High in 2009. He is a past principal of the year for the Wilkes schools and has a master's degree in public school administration from Gardner Webb. The article talks about both Wayne Shepherd and Michelle Shepherd, but since this paragraph says "he" then I assume it's talking about Wayne Shepherd.
From what I've been told this happened 10 to 15 years ago, but wasn't reported to law enforcement until a few months ago. He was still at the middle school 15 years ago...

Theesy, the JP article states Wayne Shepherd is leaving his position at West High to become a CTE director, our sources ain't heard nothing about the hawt Pruitt principle leaving West to make way for Wayne in the first place. **** is harder to keep up with than a good game of musical chairs and such.

North Wilkes isn't the only high school in Wilkes that something like this has happened, in the past several years West and Wilkes Central has had incidents where staff was prosecuted as well.

Wayne Shepherd was the principal at NWMS in 2005, but I don't know if he's the one that did the hiring or if it was the previous principal.
I don't think that's relevant, though. Who could have known in 2005 that he would be a child molester 20 years later?
