In the county government, there is no real difference between a Democrat and a Republican. I don't have a problem at all with voting for a Democrat. A Democrat is not any worse than these 3 we were stuck with that will cause problems for citizens for the next 30 or 40 years.

I am hoping Elmore will run again. He has so much experience. But would be happy with Minton too. The last Democrat to be elected to the Wilkes Board of Commissioners was Joe Woodie and before him was Luther Parks, there may have been 1 or 2 more but Woodie and Parks are the only ones I remember.
