@countryguy I really don't know big guy. I wouldn't want to lie to ya. I know how hard things are these days. Joe's garage kinda sits back off the road a little. But he truly is real good at mechanic stuff. He's straight up too. If he can get to it? He's not a man I've. Never known to sh anyone. Best of luck you get her running. :)

A guy named Jeff took it out but he's not at that shop anymore. How long does it take Joe to get to it yo think?

Any mechanic can do that I suggest you call Wilkes community college auto shop and see if they will do it.

This car sit under a car shed for 2 years and the rings was stuck and there was blow back. This original engine has been taken apart and new bearings, rod and main and also a new cam, timing chain and gears and some all new lifters.

This is the old engine . It has been rebuilt. There is no engine to be pulled. Just put the original engne back in. And get the car running again.

countryguy (view profile) | Posted 8:51 pm, 05/15/2024 | I guess this one would be to hard to do for some who look for something easy. Lol
|
countryguy (view profile) | Posted 12:19 pm, 05/13/2024 | 79 oldes, 350 engine . It doesn't need anything but engine installed and got running. This is not a junk oldesmobile. It was running fine but sat to long before restarting.
|
That would be an very easy install since there no computers and plenty of room to work. It should only take 5 or 6 hours top maybe less to pull the old one and re install the new one.
I question the reason for needing a new engine as I have seen engines sit for years and years and start and run just fine.

How about some details like what year, make and model size of engine since not all engine installs are the same and some require a computer while some could be in swap in your sleep.
