Trump certainly has large crowds this is very unusual for any political gathering. Most political events no matter the party have to beg and plead for their supporters to show up. Most of the time the party faithful show up and will beg their neighbors to go with them maybe get a button and a free meal. Why would sane folks go to hear a plastic candidate tell them they have to buy a hundred-thousand car or everyone will drown or melt?

Trump has always lied about crowd size. After all the major TV stations had shown the sparse attendance at his 2016 inauguration, Trump got his own video made showing huge crowds in Washington mall.
