backontrack, do you know more about it?

backontrack

Posted 3:12 pm, 04/25/2024

It for sure ain't the volunteer firefellers, Turkey.

COLDTURKEY

Fieldgrazer, something is seriously wrong with that. Which would make one think that SOMEONE is profiting from whatever deal is in place, and I would be willing to bet it is not the taxpayers or fire department.

Fieldgrazer

Thats my understanding

COLDTURKEY

Fieldgrazer seems to have done some research already. I agree that you hear Moravian called out frequently and Wilkesboro, Broadway, or Brushy Mountain called out very soon after due to no response from Moravian. Brushy Mountain seems to be a much smaller department and still answers their calls as well as Moravian's when ask. Back to the track part though, @fieldgrazer, did you say Broadway was not even ask to provide help and it is in their district?

Grazer, them firefellers may or may not use ur tax dollars to respond real quick to a call from u. Our sources suggest u ort to not complain about the small s*** if u expect them ol boys to come to ur beck and call upon request, you know for free and such.

Fieldgrazer,
IF you live within or own real property in the Moravian Falls Fire District that means you pay their fire tax which means it is your right to question their activities, finances and response protocols, but your questions would be better answered by contacting MF fire Chief rather than posting on here.

The speedway is about 4 miles away from Moravian Falls fire district in which I live I see Broadway sign on the way to 115, furthermore my understanding is that Broadway was not asked to do the small events only they large ones. So why are they using my tax money and not running their own calls. Just listen to scanner Wilkesboro has to run their calls because they are slack on help or no one goes.

You mean to tell me them fellers volunteers to rescue younguns outta the goodness of they hearts and r expected to do all them hours of training also? Who TF would do such for paticularly ungrateful turkeys and expect em to answer they phones also?

Albert Pike

Coldturkey,
A guy I Know who is an Assistant Chief at a different fire department told me that The Office of State Fire Marshal requires fire departments to offer at least 1 training session per month and only requires firefighters to receive 36 hours of training per year, so it looks like Moravian Falls is meeting what is required of them. According to what you posted, you could drop by any Monday around 6:30pm and talk to the Chief face to face...that is if you have the testicular fortitude to do that.

As long as they ain't no dog fighters and such, our sources r gonna let them ol boys do they d*** job and not tie up they phone lines wanting attention for dumb s***.

All the information I have been able to get has been off their website. However, it seems a bit out of date, or at least I hope it is, otherwise, they only trained one time this month. That doesn't seem fair to any new members they might have, assuming they have any. Here is the link to that. Moravian Falls Fire Department - Moravian Falls, NC. If anyone has an updated site, I would love to have maybe a better contact.

Coldturkey,
If they won't contact you back, you could always drop in for a visit and ask your questions face to face, that is IF you own real property in their fire district, IF not then they owe you no explanations or answers.
