Interesting that two of you suggested to contact the fire department. Why don't one of you try to get that chief, or any of the board of directors, to call you back about ANYTHING. I have been traveling that for several months now with no calls returned nor meetings that were offered taken.

The third word of my post is IF, if you own real property in the Moravian Falls Fire District that means you pay their fire tax which means it is your right to question their activities, finances and response protocols, but your questions would be better answered by contacting MF fire Chief rather than posting on here.
IF you do not own property in the Moravian Falls Fire District then it's none of your business what they do.

It's clear that your motive for posting is not out of any feigned concern but desire to stir the excrement.

Mr. Pike, I never said I do not own real property there or anywhere else in Wilkes. Please, allow me to decide what is my business and what is not. I believe all of our fire departments are well understaffed and always help any way I can with them. Believe me, I have an interest in many department's service areas in Wilkes. Just because I am old and choose not to live in that specific district, a lot due to their failure to cover their area well, medically as well as fire suppression, on a good day, does not mean I do not have a reason to be concerned.

Foxnose, no axe, just curious. I don't even live on that side of Wilkes. Just seems like something is off. You never see Mulberry standing by at the drag strip. Backontrack, if you think I'm young, I appreciate that. Turn 77 this year.

In reality if "coldturkey" doesn't live within or own real property in the Moravian Falls Fire District it is NONE of his business what Moravian Falls Fire Department does or doesn't do.

You younguns for sure has a lot of complaning to do on fellers which volunteers they time and money also. Our sources ain't seen you out there doing such.

knslyr, indeed, great job "stepping up" IF that is what is going on. My main concern is, while they are "stepping up", who is covering the rest of their district? I don't live in that district, but if my local department was there, I would sure be concerned about an emergency happening in my area and nobody there to answer the call.

I thought the speedway(the one on speedway rd off of 115) is in the MF fire district. If it ain"t, well good job to these MF'ers stepping up and doing a great MF'ing job!

My point being, did our rescue squad and Broadway both turn down helping the speedway? Is Moravian Falls Fire Department making money by being there? Who is covering for Moravian Falls district while their tax dollars are serving at the speedway? Just for a few questions.

Any thoughts on why Moravian Falls Fire Department always seems to have one of their units at the Speedway and not Broadway? Does Moravian Falls' district reach that far or do they just have so much man power and equipment they are the best for the job?
