This is simple (unless you lack morals)

Robin Hood: Bad for stealing. The reason for stealing doesn't matter, you still have a victim.

Sheriff: Bad. Punishment does not fit the crime plus more important God is the only one that decides who dies and who shall live.

Marion: Bad for obvious reasons. No matter what the reason it is not moral to sell your body for sex.
I am wondering why you don't apply the same rules to Trump?

Had she refused to do it and the Sheriff killed Robin, would that have made her bad, too? For refusing to make a relatively minor sacrifice to save a love one's life?

Maid Marion would do anything to save the man she loved. The Sheriff was a man of his word. Robin was upset over Maid Marion's actions. You place them in order of the one you like best to the one you like least. This will tell you what you look for in a mate. Marion is love and sex. Sheriff is power. Robin is morality.

Ten years ago Joe taped a conversation he held with Sally. In the 10 years Sally advanced in position of importance. She was voted in mayor of a small town. In the tape she said some things from immaturity due to youth. Now is it right forJoe to put the content of said tape all over a small town forum. Who is the worse, Joe, or Sally?

The Sheriff was doing his job in arresting someone who was breaking the laws.

True... but! He sentenced a thief to death, which Americans would consider to be too extreme. It does exist in other countries, though, but never the UK... but this might still be me unfairly imposing modern morals on an historic figure.

But still, he used his position of power to coerce a woman into sex. This isn't much different than the boss telling his employee that he'll fire her unless she has sex with him, which I consider to be morally wrong in any situation.

The left would gladly put Trump in jail yet the same allegations against Biden go un investigated. The Clinton's have been proven to take money for pardons and paid hush money out with no consequences.

Anti, while you are solving world problems how about considering this:

We all know the Road Runner had athletic skills way beyond Willie Coyote but what type shoes did (he/she) wear. Were they shoes of fashion or strictly performance shoes. Now the question, if those running shoes were made in China would they have held up long enough to get away. You can ask Kamala for help on this during her debate if you want to.

Who are we to argue with you. Looks like you past the test, it worked for you

I've always felt like Robin Hood was a bad guy. His heart might have been in the right place, but how does he get to decide whether someone is rich? Or whether they can afford to lose a lot of money? How many families did he destroy by taking everything away from them?

Antithesis you would gladly shut down all of Trumps businesses and any other "rich" republican business and give their money to illegals. So if you could you would be a Robin Hood.

If you take Robin Hood's, "steal from the rich, give to the poor" mindset into context, there is moral being there by recognizing the faults of society.

I've always felt like Robin Hood was a bad guy. His heart might have been in the right place, but how does he get to decide whether someone is rich? Or whether they can afford to lose a lot of money? How many families did he destroy by taking everything away from them?

How many of those rich people were employers, that then had to lay off workers because they couldn't afford to pay them? Or wealthy farmers that had to raise prices on food? How much of an impact did that have on the local economy?

I think of it like this... all of those scammers from Nigeria or whatever think that Americans are rich, so they are justified in scamming us. But how many old people lost their life's savings to them? Does that make the Nigerian scammers... good?

Lady Marion let love dictate her decision making ability.

True. The reason that I say that this needs context is because we don't know whether she had any sexual or romantic interest in the Sheriff that made this an opportunity to fulfill a fantasy, or if she was the victim of coercion / rape. If she was a victim of rape then there's no reason to think anything negative about her in the story at all, and her sacrifice to save someone else would put her in the "good" category.

anti, I like your analogy the legend of Robin Hood is generally believed to be a composite of mythical tales from various parts of England. This was a story which gave the oppressed common people something to believe in when the nation was ruled by a king and handful of wealthy nobles. It was probably compiled a century after the period in which it is set.

However, yours is an excellent analogy as it portrays the kind of social system that is envisioned by Trump and his cronies.
