Hey Metal

I hate to sound old, but modern music just isn't the same! And now I'm seeing that there's a reason for that... it's no longer about the music.

Growing up, my parents were always pointing at one business or another and say, "you know that's just a front for drugs." I always thought they were conspiracy theorists, but as I've gotten older I see that a lot of it seems to be true! When you see millionaires owning a bunch of businesses that are typically cash-only, never have a customer, but still seem to be thriving? You can't prove it, but the pieces all fit.

Fast food restaurants... car washes... movie theaters... laundromats... storage facilities... feed stores... all are primed for money laundering.

Awhile back, it also hit me that the modern music industry is ideal for laundering, too. An artist can just SAY that a million people downloaded his song for $1, and there would be no way to track it!

I recently learned that Tekashi 6ix9ine testified against his gang, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, and stated that his role as a performer was to launder the money they made from drugs and gun running!

Considering his former collabs with Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and other big performers, I can't help but be suspicious about them. And Snoop Dogg, a proud Crip, said that 6ix9ine is a "snitch," making me wonder just how much of Snoop's fame is due to money laundering.

That's not to pick on rappers, though... 6ix9ine is just the one that I read about. I've heard so many artists that sound terrible with autotuning... Ingrid Andress... and you can't help but wonder, how did they get there in the first place?

And well... now it makes some sense.
