"Bidenflation" was a term coined by MAGATS to detract from the re al reason of price increases; i.e., corporate profits lining the pockets of shareholders and CEOs.

Although I will agree with you Biden should dismantle conglomerates as they control every consumable product in America unless a business is privately owned and has not sold out or been forced out by these moneygrubbers.

Smallbrain should know that it's Biden's inflation, hence the term "Bidenflation". If I were king I would bust up these large food conglomerates starting with the beef packers. If Joe cared he would be doing this tight now. But all he's doing is pizzing away tax money as fast as he can, forgiving gov loans that the SCOTUS has already deemed beyond his authority.

Trump favorite place is Mc'Donalds, big mac, the billionaire. People like me stopped eating at fast food. Going up a dollar doesn't bother me, but 5 dollars is a little much for crap. Last Big Mac I got had enough sauce on it for 5 of them. I fix a better hamburger at home with loaf bread. I love mustard on both sides, thin sliced onions and a piece of sharp cheese.

The only reason McDonalds is complaining is the decrease in sales will drop the profit margin to the CEO and Board of Directors while raising prices across the board.

But I don't expect kool-aid sippers to look behind the curtain and admit it is these same businesses fueling the inflation rate by increasing prices while enjoying record-breaking profits while employees wages won't cover the basic cost of housing.

If every fast-food restaurant in the USA were to close my only regret would be the loss of jobs. I've never been anywhere in the USA where there wasn't a restaurant nearby, where you could sit down and be served with better food for the same or little more than you would pay at a fast food joint. However, if eating in an atmosphere resembling feeding time at the zoo is what turns you on, have at it!

Some of America's best-known corporations are saying their consumers are being pinched by inflation as prices continue rising.Inflation has dominated corporate America's discourse over the past three years following the pandemic-induced easing of monetary policy and trillions of dollars in Covid relief. Though the pace of price growth has cooled since the Federal Reserve began raising interest rates in early 2022, consumers are still feeling the squeeze - and often tightening purse strings - as costs continue climbing.

"It is clear that broad-based consumer pressures persist around the world," McDonald's

CEO Chris Kempczinski said on the fast-food chain's earnings call early Tuesday. "Consumers continue to be even more discriminating with every dollar that they spend as they faced elevated prices in their day-to-day spending."

Sticky inflation has created a dark cloud over how everyday Americans perceive the health of the economy. Consumer confidence in April hit its lowest level since mid-2022 as high prices remained top of mind, according to data released Tuesday by the Conference Board.

Thanks, Joe!
