You are exactly right, WilkesTransplant. I sincerely hope that people can figure out a way forward. For me, I realized that my friendship is a gift that no one is entitled to. It will be tricky in places that are super stacked one way or another- like Wilkes (heavy Rep) or NYC (heavy Dem) to find just the right person, plus dating is HARD period. My single friends say it is not always easy to find a cool person and the political situation just makes it worse.
If you look at the gender breakdown of conservatives by state, you'll find that the number of conservative women is nearly equal to that of conservative men. In fact, 44% of women overall voted for Trump in the recent election. These figures suggest that conservative men aren't likely to struggle finding love, especially considering that those newly celibate liberal women likely wouldn't have considered dating them in the first place.

Dang AM, I feel like the GOP are alienating more voters by all their wack policies! I am all for law and order, but the things that are being proposed are going to be bad for the vast majority of people, but they don't see it because it hasn't happened yet. It's nuts - like Anti said, more people voted in the governor's race in NC than the Presidential race. People are puzzles.
Regardless, I expect that the amount of incels will grow, despite JD wanting women to hold their noses and get with some unprincipled maga dudes.

Vance hates women who don't have children (which isn't far removed from hating women who don't have sex); he recoils when he's called "weird," and he's comfortable assigning women roles based on their age. His version of masculinity is insecure, backward-looking, and grievance-driven: If women only behaved as they had in the 1950s, men wouldn't be so miserable, he seems to be saying. If the sexual revolution hadn't upended norms around marriage, women would lower their expectations and settle for less. If we hadn't sent all those jobs to China, men could still work in manufacturing, instead of stooping to the level of "girly" industries like caregiving.

It's a good thing men don't lied or the gig would be up. I am independent, i,don't vote, or I am too busy to vote. I doubt very seriously a liberal and a conservative going to hook up for very long, they live in,different worlds. But to your point, there is one group of women that claimed they are abstaining from,sex with men. That will showed everybody, no abortions.

I'm just sad that our society is so polarized. I am guilty of it too- when I see people wearing MAGA cr**, I don't even make eye contact if I can help it. For me, it is the party of hate, which is terrible.
