I am a Republican, the Democrats despise me.
I will not support Mark Robinson because i feel he is fake and was used as a tool by my own party.
They found black man, who could give a fiery speech and opposes gun control. That was all he brought to the table, but that was enough to win. He is not qualified to run this state.
Also he claims to be for the people, just try and see if you a common person can obtain any help from his staff on a issue you care about.
Now as far as Gun control i completely agree with Robinson. Gun control only effects law abiding citizens who wish to own firearms because they are the only people who follow the law.
A criminal will always get a gun no matter what laws we put in place. If someone wants to be a mass shooter they will find a way to obtain a gun. When we cover mass shootings so much by media that we make the shooters basically out to be some type of celebrities is that smart?
Charles Mason had followers, and it was the media that gave him fame.
It all goes back to media dividing the people.

I'm waiting on the Stein campaign ads talking about Robinsons wife having an abortion since ol Mark is all against anyone having an abortion, or ads about Robinsons "bankruptcies" and unemployment payments.

Antithesis, "From what I can tell, the backlog came from law enforcement agencies across the state not sending them in... not the lab."
Here is the truth of why there was a backlog of untested rape kits; For years the NC State Crime Lab was the only lab that could do the needed testing on rape kits and only had 6 lab technicians that were trained in that procedure, law enforcement agencies WERE NOT allowed to send rape kits to the lab for testing where the suspect was not known...meaning the rape victim had to know by name the person they were accusing of rape. In other words under then current NC State Crime Lab submission and testing requirements if you were raped by an unknown stranger, the investigating law enforcement agency was NOT allowed to send your rape kit to the State Crime Lab for testing, as a victim you were SOL.

Stein has been running ads where he caught up the backlog of rape kits. Well the lab is operated under the SBI that falls under his umbrella. The backlog started under democrat attorney generals including the current governor and Stein is bragging about doing his job.

I'm sure the other side did something equally as bad I'm not going to even look it up.
That's an interesting strawman argument that I always see from Republicans...
"Sure, my guy committed a crime. But your guy "probably" did, too, so it doesn't affect my vote."
Do you see the problem? You know for a fact that one guy did, but you assume that others do it, too, so that you can continue to justify what you want to believe.

North Carolina state regulators now declare a nonprofit run by the wife of North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson must repay over $132,000 for what they call disallowed expenses while carrying out a federally funded child care meal program. The state Department of Health and Human Services revealed a larger amount in a Friday letter to Yolanda Hill following a compliance review of Balanced Nutrition Inc., for which Hill is listed as owner and chief financial officer. Robinson, who is also the Republican nominee for governor this fall, worked in the nonprofit years ago before running for elected office, according to his memoir. Hill previously announced she was shutting down the nonprofit's enterprise and withdrawing from the Child and Adult Care Food Program on April 30. But state officials had already announced in March that the fiscal year's review of Balanced Nutrition would begin April 15. The review's findings, released Wednesday, cited new and repeat problems, including lax paperwork and the failure to file valid claims on behalf of child care operators or to report expenses accurately. The program told Hill and other leaders to soon take corrective action on the "serious deficiencies" or regulators would propose they be disqualified from future program participation. ... Balanced Nutrition, funded by taxpayers, has collected roughly $7 million in government funding since 2017, while paying out at least $830,000 in salaries to Hill, Robinson and other members of their family, tax filings and state documents show. Robinson described in his memoir how the operation brought fiscal stability to his family, giving him the ability to quit a furniture manufacturing job in 2018 and begin a career in politics. https://apnews.com/article/...b2c19c49bc
