Will this galvanize voters to vote against Trump as they feel his power grab has a new tool?

Immunity for official acts, not private acts.
So if the prez gets caught with meth for personal use, he can still be prosecuted.
But if he has Navy Seal Team kill an opponent he cannot be proecuted as long as it's an officiail act.
Both examples are extreme and very unlikely to happen.

However, Immunity or not, the prez can still be impeached and removed from office which I certainly hope would happen if the prez is caught with meth for personal use or tries to kill an opponent.

Care to define an "official act."

The ruling did nothing but delay.

That establishes a very dangerous precedent.

Scotus rules, former presidents have substantial immunity.
