If you look at the link I gave, there's a figure where you can kinda eyeball and see that we had a surplus of about 12 million jobs in 2022.
Unemployment dropped to a near record low in 2022, and has only increased slightly since then. Those 4 million workers came from somewhere, and legal immigrants is the most logical explanation.

They have. I wish I could find it, but this is just from memory... we did have about 12 million surplus jobs, now it's down to 8.1 million.
That 8.1 million figure comes from 3 days ago...
They state that we only have 6.8 million unemployed workers, many of which have chosen unemployment (students, homemakers, etc). So even if we had a 0% unemployment, we would still need over a million people to fill the remaining jobs.

We've talked about it before, but we know that the US has a surplus of about 9 million jobs that we can't export to other countries. Most of those jobs are in low paying industries, and citizens simply don't want them. Other than allowing more immigrants, how do you propose that we fill those jobs?

It's the other way around... the Biden administration stopped more than 4 times as many border jumpers as Trump did. And the Obama administration deported more than almost all previous administrations combined.
You're being misled by propaganda. If you oppose undocumented immigrants then you should vote for Kamala.
Personally, I do not agree with the Democrats on this issue. My ideology on this issue is closer to Reagan... I believe that we need mostly open borders. Not a completely open border like Reagan wanted, but I think that immigration should be free and easy. Perhaps a system where they can get authorized for free, then they can go back and forth at will.
