Pretty sure what was not said was 'go on some Podunk message board and be a completely oblivious, self-involved, self-righteous tool to anyone who you can engage'. By doing so, you will have a great chance to exhibit an unparalleled degree of banality to everyone who might believe anything even slightly different than yourself. There is grace at the cross for all who believe that Jesus is the Christ. Even for those who prefer only to throw stones, instead of building an altar.

Do you believe what the FATHER SAID???

Grace comes from the Father given through FAITH to those that believe in the Son of God
Grace comes from FAITH. With FAITH comes Obedience to the Lord God Jesus The Christ.

44 Then Jesus cried out, "Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, BUT IN THE ONE WHO SENT ME. 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

47 "If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."

Jesus admonished the Jews because they trust Traditions of the Jewish Religion more than God.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Was Jesus building up the Jew RELIGION or was Jesus tearing it down? Religion changes with Time but the Word of God NEVER changes.

Sir," the woman said, "you must be a prophet. 20 So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim,[c] where our ancestors worshiped?"

21 Jesus replied, "Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. 23 But the time is coming-indeed it's here now-when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth."

25 The woman said, "I know the Messiah is coming-the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."

26 Then Jesus told her, "I am the Messiah!"[d]

We live in the world of governments so we must give to what is from government but we are to Remember what is Gods.

12The religious leadersb wanted to arrest Jesus because they realized he was telling the story against them-they were the wicked farmers. But they were afraid of the crowd, so they left him and went away.

Taxes for Caesar

13Later the leaders sent some Pharisees and supporters of Herod to trap Jesus into saying something for which he could be arrested. 14"Teacher," they said, "we know how honest you are. You are impartial and don't play favorites. You teach the way of God truthfully. Now tell us-is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? 15Should we pay them, or shouldn't we?"

Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, "Why are you trying to trap me? Show me a Roman coin,c and I'll tell you." 16When they handed it to him, he asked, "Whose picture and title are stamped on it?"

"Caesar's," they replied.

17"Well, then," Jesus said, "give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God."

His reply completely amazed them.

Jesus didn't start CHURCH because Jesus just took AWAY the power for man to RULE OVER HIS CHILDREN Jesus separated his people from the world.

The Ministry of Jesus Begins

12When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he left Judea and returned to Galilee. 13He went first to Nazareth, then left there and moved to Capernaum, beside the Sea of Galilee, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali. 14This fulfilled what God said through the prophet Isaiah:

15"In the land of Zebulun and of Naphtali,

beside the sea, beyond the Jordan River,

in Galilee where so many Gentiles live,

16the people who sat in darkness

have seen a great light.

And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow,

a light has shined."f

17From then on Jesus began to preach, "Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.g"

Jeremiah 31:31- was fulfilled by Jesus.

Luke 17
20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Jesus founded His Church through His teachings, actions, and the commissioning of His disciples. He began by gathering a group of twelve apostles, whom He instructed and empowered to continue His mission (Luke 6:13 NABRE). Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God, emphasizing love, forgiveness, and repentance (Matthew 4:17 NABRE). He performed miracles to demonstrate His divine authority and to show God's compassion (Matthew 14:14 NABRE). Central to His teaching was the proclamation that He was the Messiah, the Son of God, sent to redeem humanity (John 4:25-26 NABRE). Jesus established foundational principles for His followers, such as the sacraments, with the Eucharist being instituted at the Last Supper, symbolizing His sacrificial love and the new covenant between God and His people (Luke 22:19-20 NABRE).

After His resurrection, Jesus gave the Great Commission to His apostles, instructing them to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all He had commanded (Matthew 28:19-20 NABRE). He promised to be with them always, guiding and empowering them through the Holy Spirit (John 14:26 NABRE). On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, filling them with courage and wisdom to spread the Gospel (Acts 2:1-4 NABRE). This event is often considered the birth of the Church, as the apostles began to preach boldly, convert people, and form Christian communities. Peter, whom Jesus designated as the rock upon which He would build His Church (Matthew 16:18 NABRE), played a crucial role in leading the early Church, which grew and spread throughout the Roman Empire and beyond. Through these actions, Jesus laid the groundwork for a faith community that would endure and expand, carrying His message of salvation to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8 NABRE).

The foundation Jesus established continues to shape the Christian religion today. The early Church, founded directly by Jesus and led by the apostles, especially Peter, evolved into what we now recognize as the Catholic Church. The teachings and sacraments Jesus instituted are central to Catholic worship and practice. The Eucharist, for instance, remains a vital sacrament, celebrated in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice and as a means of grace (1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NABRE). The Great Commission still drives missionary work, with Catholics spreading the Gospel worldwide, baptizing new believers, and teaching them to follow Jesus' commands. The Holy Spirit's presence, first felt at Pentecost, continues to guide, empower, and inspire Catholics, as promised by Jesus (John 14:26 NABRE).

The early Church, built upon the apostles' teachings and particularly on Peter's leadership, is the Catholic Church. Peter established the apostolic succession that continues to this day, ensuring continuity in teaching and sacramental life (Matthew 16:18 NABRE). The Catholic Church preserves the traditions and doctrines passed down from the apostles, maintaining the Church's fidelity to its foundation (Ephesians 2:19-20 NABRE). Through the sacraments, the liturgy, and the Magisterium, the Catholic Church embodies the mission Jesus entrusted to His followers, striving to live out His love and grace in the world. The Church's endurance and growth reflect the lasting impact of Jesus' foundation, as it continues to be a beacon of hope and salvation for all, deeply rooted in the early Christian community He established.

Payment of the Temple Tax

24 On their arrival in Capernaum, the collectors of the Temple tax[e] came to Peter and asked him, "Doesn't your teacher pay the Temple tax?"

25 "Yes, he does," Peter replied. Then he went into the house.

But before he had a chance to speak, Jesus asked him, "What do you think, Peter?[f] Do kings tax their own people or the people they have conquered?[g]"

26 "They tax the people they have conquered," Peter replied.

"Well, then," Jesus said, "the citizens are free! 27 However, we don't want to offend them, so go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin.[h] Take it and pay the tax for both of us."

Does the Kings children pay tribute to the Kingdom?? No.

According to the Bible, the children of earthly kings are exempt from paying their fathers' customs and poll taxes. In Matthew 17:26, Jesus asks Peter if the king collects taxes from his sons or from others, and Peter replies that the king collects taxes from others. Jesus then says that the sons are free.

6 "Watch out! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. 2 When you give to someone in need, don't do as the hypocrites do-blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. 3 But when you give to someone in need, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

If you believe this, then why do you insist on following man's teachings while ignoring Jesus'?

Your passage has nothing to do with the subject you gave, though, so I'll talk about the passage...

It seems like this passage is condemning churches from having fundraisers. Do you agree

There you are again. I'm Not a Christian. Does Jesus give his Authority over to man ??? No he didn't because he knew greed of Man. People have Free Will to do as they Please.

Jesus replied, "You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote,

'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 Their worship is a farce,
for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.'[d]

8 For you ignore God's law and substitute your own tradition."

9 Then he said, "You skillfully sidestep God's law in order to hold on to your own tradition.

Jesus Clears the Temple

13 It was nearly time for the Jewish Passover celebration, so Jesus went to Jerusalem. 14 In the Temple area he saw merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; he also saw dealers at tables exchanging foreign money. 15 Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers' coins over the floor, and turned over their tables. 16 Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them, "Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father's house into a marketplace!"

17 Then his disciples remembered this prophecy from the Scriptures: "Passion for God's house will consume me."[c]

18 But the Jewish leaders demanded, "What are you doing? If God gave you authority to do this, show us a miraculous sign to prove it."

19 "All right," Jesus replied. "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

20 "What!" they exclaimed. "It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can rebuild it in three days?" 21 But when Jesus said "this temple," he meant his own body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered he had said this, and they believed both the Scriptures and what Jesus had said.

23 Because of the miraculous signs Jesus did in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration, many began to trust in him. 24 But Jesus didn't trust them, because he knew all about people. 25 No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person's heart.

Jeremiah 17:9-11

New Living Translation
9 "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things,
and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?
10 But I, the Lord, search all hearts
and examine secret motives.
I give all people their due rewards,
according to what their actions deserve."
