Is it Greed or Inflation ?

Last year, Walmart made $15.51 billion on sales of $648.13 billion. That's a profit margin of 2.4%. I'm not sure that's price gouging. Last year, Walmart made $15.51 billion on sales of $648.13 billion.

And average sales tax in america is 7.2% and corporate tax is 30%. So the government made $46.7B in sales tax and $4.65B in corporate tax on those sales / profit.

Abe, there's inflation and greed "and never the twain shall meet." But the one can be used as an excuse to cover for the other, just like faux patriotism can be used to disguise MAGATRY.

Them boys at couldnt stand seeing people save a little money, so they had to do something about it.

Anyone that thinks that inflation is the result of greed has absolutely no understanding about how the economy works.

Typical democrat. Shut down oil to raise transportation costs that raises inflation on goods. Then wants government to come in and take control of those prices by taking over the industry.

Like a fellow told me once that worked for Douglas battery in Winston Salem. Said he loved for people to brag on Sears die hard batteries. Said we get orders for them too. I mean often we pay for a name. But I think that was too much difference in price for the same part ? My late mother in law said one time she wished she had a list of how many names she had put on clothes she made. Same fabric. Same thread but retail price probably depended on whose name it had

There's a big difference in aftermarket parts and OEM part. But I'm sure it's nice to have it off the blocks.
