Imagine getting upset

"The lawsuit was unveiled less than a week after Louisiana's Gov. Jeff Landry put pen to paper and made his state the first in the country to require all public schools to display the Christian commandments in classrooms since the Supreme Court declared such a requirement unconstitutional more than 40 years ago."

So if governor Roy Cooper passed a law that the tenets of sharia law were to be displayed in every public high school you'd be totally fine with that right?

No one is imposing a religion by posting a sign.

Murder? No. What's your point?

MY point is the separation of church and state. According to the constitution, the government can't "impose" a religion.

Louisiana is 48th in the nation in terms of Education Attainment Rank.

Maybe schools there should post the ABC's and basic mathematical functions.

But by Gawd they don't want their youngins commitin' adultery.

The link you posted doesn't say that... it is referring to the Louisiana law that orders all public schools to post the Christian Ten Commandments.

Since when does a sign that says "do not murder" have anything to do with government enforced religion?

So you're not talking about "posted rules that said don't kill people," you're talking about a government enforced religion.

Republicans used to be the ones that were strict Constitutionals, and would have opposed anything that violated the First Amendment. It's interesting to see how the parties have reversed... now it's the Democrats that support the Constitution, and the GOP tries to insult them for it

Because a school posted rules that said don't kill people.

That is today's Democrat Party
